Tom Ford MoodLight

Am I the last to post this Moodlight? Lol!! I did not intend to post a review about this since I thought this is a Limited Edition and selling fast. But I still see this being sold everywhere till now, so one more review of this baby won't hurt right?

This Illuminating Duo caught my attention even before it was launched. That simplicity won my heart. The pattern is just so simple with TF embossing in the middle of each pan. I am on No-Buy recently, but if you asked me if I could only shop one brand in 2016, without a doubt I would say Tom Ford it is! Please tell Mr.Ford that I am fall in love with his line.

The packaging is also so lux. If saw some friends stacking few TF compact and seriously I thought that is the best make up stack ever.. This kind of packaging is timeless.. I think I will still love this in the next 10 years, 20 years or more.. The case is not too small, but sleek enough to put inside the make up pouch. Oh, and the mirror is helpful for touch up too..

I don't own / try many Tom Ford products beside lipstick, so I'm not in the place to give comment about the quality consistency.. But this is not powdery or easily fall out. It is not overly picked with any brush that I have. It is definitely safe for beginner. This is foolproof!

The finish is very natural. When picked by fingers, it is so pigmented. But when using brush, the amount is perfect for a subtle glow, and it is buildable to a certain level.

You can use it separately or blend it together. Basically you have three choices here, all of them are incredibly pretty. (See the swatch above). The glow is super fine but noticeable both in natural or artificial lighting. It last for 7 hours on me before fading.

The price is high, IKR? But I haven't found other illuminating product as pretty as this. Usually they are too glamour, too shimmery, too much glow or sometimes even not enough glow. (If you have any suggestion, please tell me).. It is safe for now to say that this is one of my best pick in 2015.

Thank you for reading..

Shop My Stash 23 Jan 2016

Just like I said before, I have to stop buying new make up (read this).. I have more than enough already.. I won't post any numbers because I'm still not ready to tell you (maybe one day).. Lol.. But I guess I could share some Shop My Stash action I've been doing since early of the year..

Have you ever heard about 'Shop My Stash'? Many beauty bloggers use this words to describe their action in picking their old collection back to use again instead of buying the new one. Yeah I'm doing this now.

The feeling is definitely different with getting new items or receiving new mail. That excitement of opening package or adoring new items is not there. I'm sorry I mean no offense, but I guess we could say that shopping addict can be related to psychological issue..

For me, any addiction means no good.. I'm not judging everyone else, everybody has their own life. If you are happy with collecting and hoarding and you have enough money, then nothing's wrong with it. If you feel something wrong with it, then it is wrong. It's in your head.

I'm still being in love scrolling through internet and IG adoring some friends' collection. Nothing can change my love for make up.. But I'm judging myself, for buying too much make up, for spending too much money on it, and most of all for not using it well..

Yes, almost all my collection are still on 95% condition or more while I have the collection worth a small car.. Yes I'm not kidding here. I spent my money that could buy a small car and I'm not using them well.. Okay by this reason, I made decision to begin Shop My Stash..

If you read my previous post about my resolution, you will read that I don't do project pan anymore because of some reason. This Shop My Stash is more suitable for me since there are not too many rules in this game. The only rule is : USE WHAT YOU HAVE, DON'T BUY A NEW ONE..

Well, I don't say that I'm 100% clean from this 'disease'. I have to admit that I'm ordering a few this month. But that for me still reasonable if I compare with my previous years. And so far I finished more that I bought. I promise to myself I will do better in coming months.

I hope this will help to inspire some people who want to take same path like me. But please do remember that I still love make up, and I don't have any intention to stop loving it. I only want to maximize the use of my current collection, the use of my money..

Then, here we go! My picks for my first Shop My Stash.. These products could be changed anytime I want or need but hopefully I will stick with them at least for a week.

I picked some old stuff here. Most of them are full size. A few products are picked because I want to finish them soon and some other picked because I love them. Lol.. There is two products that re-appeared from my 2015 project pan (read here). The amount of the products already reduced from the last update on August 2015 since I keep using it regularly or shared it.

Here is the list of my 25 picks :

1. Dior Nude Air Sample (reviewed here). This is only 20% left.

2. Benefit Dandelion Mini (reviewed here). I haven't told you this one cracked when I depoted it out from the kit and I have used the broken part.

3. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua.. One of my oldest foundation. I bought this around June 2014 and start using it in November 2014. It's still 60-70% remaining and hope will gone in the end of the year. Bit hard to finish it since I don't wear foundie everyday.

4. Coty Airspun Powder (reviewed here). This powder comes in generous amount. This is only 30% of the product. (The case is from Pola, I moved the products here while I sold the rest of the product in original case. I couldn't finish it alone!).

5. Burberry Fresh Glow in Nude Radiance (reviewed here) for instant glow.. Maybe 40% remaining..

All 5 basics above choosen by intention of finishing them soon.

6. Chanel Ombres Perlees Eyeshadow Palette.. This is a sentimental product for me. Beside the formula is outstanding, it is my first high end product, bought on my first trip to Paris in 2010 (???). When my friends busy with designer bags, I took this baby home. 5 years and I still love it like ever.

7. Clinique Duo Like Mink.. My mom gave it to me and it is not loved properly.

8. Urban Decay Book of Shadow NYC. Even on the next 10 years, I need to keep it simply because of the packaging. And I love to combine with some neutrals like Naked Palette.

9. Urban Decay Naked Palette. Another oldies. I've been wearing this for 2 weeks and I see small progress on the eyeshadows. Sadly I didn't take picture of it two weeks ago..

10. Make Up Forever Aqua Cream 01 (dark grey color). Whenever I need a longlasting eye make up.

11. Make Up Forever Aqua Cream 16. Reappeared from the last project pan. Not so well loved after the project finish. Want to declutter but I just couldn't. That's why I need to give a big shot this time.

12. The Balm Mary Lou Manizer (reviewed here). I tend to hate a broken products no matter how good they are. Mary Lou is pretty but deep in my heart I want this one gone soon (and buy the new one? Lol). In reality it is impossible, you will never finish a highlighter.. Hahaha..

13. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil. This one is from Beauty Wishes and Sweet Kisses. In total I have 3 pieces of Chocolate Soleil, the other two are from Everything's Nice and from La Belle Carousel. Come on! I don't need all three of them.

14. Dior It Lash Blue. I love this mascara a lot! I don't mind wearing this everyday.

15. Chanel Beaute des Cils. For a good base and bolder looks.

16. YSL Touche Eclat Pen. Love to use it undereye..

17. YSL Babydoll Eyeliner Gris Vynil.

18. ABH Dipbrow Pomade Ebony. Also from last project pan. I shared some with my friends so only small amount left (but I think it will last till the end of the year). A little goes a long way.

19. Bobbi Brown Gel Liner Denim Ink. Favorit color! I love this one a lot! Will do swatch for you soon..

20. Clinique Fresh Bloom. I'm mixing all color and use it on my cheek as natural blusher.

21. Guerlain Kiss Kiss Rouge Kiss Mini

22. MAC Lip Creme Perpetual Flame

23. Tom Ford Twist of Fate

24. Topshop Macaroon

25. YSL RPC Rouge Rose / Rosy Coral

I choose all different tone to survive this week. Tom Ford Twist of Fate is my most favorite.

This is your bonus because you stay with me till the end, swatch of 5 lippie this week..

Thank you for reading.. See you next time! Have a good weekend  😊😊😊

Three Looks using Aritaum Water Sliding Tint #12 Fruits Punch

I'm not into Korean lip product since I found most of them not really longstaying on me, some even drying my lips like crazy. You could count my Korean lip products in 3 seconds since I own only a few. I'm not kidding. Lol.. I always want to try all of  them but I never do that, I buy highend brand instead. But this one is different and I'm excited to tell you about this.

This product is from Aritaum and called Water Sliding Tint. The name indicates that it is watery, glides easily, and not too bold/pigmented.

The packaging is so simple. There is no packaging box, only a plastic seal covering the product. The case is also from hard plastic and feels light. The tip of the lipstick is flat. When you twist the case, you will see that only a little bit product will come out with each twist (and you can hear click sound together with the product coming out).

They say 1mm of product twisted out with each click, but I guess it is less than that. Be careful not to twist too many times, because once you twist it, it cannot be turned back, not like the usual lipstick that can be twist in and out each time. Normally I only need 1-2 clicks for each application.

The texture is softer than I thought.. I imagine that this will have hard texture like tinted lipbalm, solid and creates sheer color on our lips.. I was totally wrong..

It glides easily, so soft and smooth, and quite pigmented. Mine is no 12 Fruit Punch.. In the picture above (the back of my hand), it looks so bold because I push it too hard when I swatch.. But can you imagine it? And the fruity smells is nice too! It is so mouthwatering!! The formula is light and not drying like other tint that I've tried. It last 3 hours without consuming F&B.

I also have no issue on applying this on my lips. From the pictures below, you can see that this is buildable. The first picture is when I dab it lightly on the center part of my lips. I use my middle finger to pick the product and dab it few times to create soft natural ombre looks..

The second picture is bolder ombre. Still using finger to create this. Light dab the product directly on lips and blend use middle finger, then pick more products using finger and dab it on the centre of lips.

The third is a normal way to use lippie.. Swipe (twice on this picture) directly to the lips..

Which one you prefer?

With that price (around KRW9000)? I want to buy all shades available on the market! Sadly I'm on no buy, so maybe next year.. Lol.. Thank you for reading..

Givenchy Teint Couture Cushion

Woo hoo! Givenchy is joining cushion games!! Who's excited? I am not a cushion addict honestly. I only have one other cushion at the moment. It's Laneige BB Cushion (reviewed here).

Cushion is too cute. I always attracted to buy some, but don't know why I always step back. This Givenchy Cushion design won my heart. When it first launched in Singapore in December (worldwide is on January or February?), I quickly ordered one. Despite of the high price SGD83 for 14g with no refill (compared to other cushion 15g + 1 refill), I still give my money to it.  Is that worth it? Let's discuss with me..

The outer part is just like other cushion. Round with flip lid.. It comes in black color which add a touch of luxury. Usually bb cushion is fancy, but this one is gorgeous!

When opening the lid, you will find the applicator in white with black strap. The difference with other cushion is usually inside you will get an additional applicator tray that has function as protector too, so that the product not easily dry.

This time no flipping tray provided. When you take the sponge, you are facing a metal plate with tiny holes form up in the shape of Givenchy logo. So pretty! The product will dispense from that holes after pushing the metal for few times (only for the first time use). Next time, you only need to push once each time.

That plate also keep the products' hygiene, since our applicator will not have a direct contact with the product. I could tell this is genious. Maybe other cushion need to adopt this technique. Enough saying about the design. Let's start talking about the products.

The texture of the product is a bit thick for liquid, but when blended well it has very sheer coverage. The finish is not as dewy as other cushion from Korea. I have shades no 2 (Fresh Shell). They have 4 shades in total. It oxidize soon after applied (around 30mins), so Fresh Shell is perfect match for me.

The applicator is a total fail for me. I don't know what's wrong. The products won't blend and won't set. I spent 15 minutes tried to blend the product on half face (In the picture it is part on your left) and failed. It creates patches, not covering any imperfection and in fact make it worse. After that 15 minutes in hell, I leave the applicator alone, then continue using my fingers.

(Sorry for the pic tone. I use only natural sunlight, so whenever the cloud is coming, the tone of my picture changes. But I don't use filter so I hope you could imagine the real situation here)

It is not buildable. To reach coverage like in above picture, I need a lot of effort. If you want to cover your dark spots, dark circle or scar, you definitely need concealer. It won't help you cover anything. It help to minimize the visibility of my pores and help to smooth out my skin though.

Make sure to use good primer, concealer and setting powder whenever you use this Teint Couture. Because without them, this baby maybe would make you dissapointed in some ways. Like for me, it won't set in some areas of my face (upper browbone, undereye, and lip corner). In my opinion, it also not perform well on people who easily sweating like me.

It claims to be good for touch up. When there is a risk of being cakey, Givenchy promise it won't be happening with this cushion. I did try to to touch up with this and I don't like the result. Eventhough it is not cakey, it is really difficult to blend it out. I tried using my beauty blender and still failed.

I have high expectation to this product, but sadly this is not my favorite. I'm so sorry Givenchy.. Some friends love it to the bit, but it doesn't work the same way to me.. Other products used listed below. Thank you for reading.

Simple Eye Make Up under One Minute

Eyemake up is crucial for every woman. Even for not so makeup junkie. Business women definitely need it. College students need it too. Even when a mother going out with their children, at least they will put on some eyeshadows and lipstick.

But what if you are in a rush and don't have time to blend 5 shades of eyeshadow. Or maybe too risky to put a pair of eyelashes. Eyelashes could make everything better or worse, could be disaster for people that are not using it daily.

Maybe this post will help! This is the easiest and simplest way to decorate your eyes. I only use 2 eyeliner pencil and mascara to create this.. As simple as 1, 2, 3.. No need to mention, this is a quick one too.. One minute is enough..

Any eyeliner will do.. If you have 2 eyeliners, 1 in black and 1 in other popping color, then you don't have to buy a new one. Here I'm using Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencils in Zero and Ransom. I got them as part of the Book of Shadow Set. You could use any color that you like.

Talking about Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencils is not the cheapest one on the market. But it stays on my lid for 8-9 hours then start smudging on the end (after sweating all day in humid weather). Please keep in mind that I'm easily sweating and this is applied without primer.

The texture is fine. If you find difficulties to apply a flick eyeliner with Marc Jacobs Gel Liner because the texture is too soft, maybe you could try UD 24/7. It is not too hard, so it applied comfortably and glides smoothly on skin. The swatch in above picture is in my wrist, so it is difficult to apply in wrinkled skin, but it is smooth enough when applied on lids.

As you can see, I only use Zero, Ransom and mascara to decorate my eyes. I used no eyeshadow in this post, but you are free if you want to. Maybe a soft brown or soft pink if you like. I will put list of products used in the end of this post.

One: draw thick line with your colored eyeliner pencil.. Smudge a bit to make it looks natural.

Two: draw thin line close to lash line with black eyeliner. If you like more precise and sharp line, use black liquid eyeliner instead of pencil.

Three: use mascara to make a better wink.. Colored mascara for more fashionable and fancy looks, or black one for strong and bold looks. I don't suggest fake eyelashes for this kind of eyemakeup, I love to keep it simple and light..

As simple as that! Like I said, as easy as 1, 2, 3.. Lol.. The rest of your make up is according to your style or creativity.. Pair it with lipbalm for No Make Up make up looks. Or bright lipstick for girly looks..

The products used are listed below.. Thank you for reading..

Benefit Dandelion

Love a multitasker? Try this Benefit Dandelion!

Hmmm, of course the real Dandelion not appear like that. Lol! From Do The Bright Thing Set, I got the small size at 3g (normal size is 7g), I gave the others to my family and friends because I have ever tried the other and just keep this Dandelion for myself.

From Benefit's website, the description of Dandelion is :
"This sheer ballerina pink face powder takes your complexion from dull to radiant with buildable color and just a hint of shimmer. Sweep it on cheeks as a soft blush or dust it all over face as a brightening finishing powder. Soft, natural-bristle brush included."

It can be used as all over face powder or soft blush. Benefit also suggest to sweep Dandelion on top of Posie Tint for a beautiful popped pink on your cheek.

When I did heavy swatch on my hand, the pink color is quite visible like a pink blusher, but when perfectly blended, it turn to soft pink with golden sheen. Not a shimmery one, it just beautiful sheen that create beautiful, brightening and glowing color on my skin.

Showing you some sheen under the sunlight. The sheen is perfectly shown when the light hits the skin. So it is impossible to be overglowing with Dandelion.

The texture is just so-so, bit powdery but not cakey. It blends easily and not clogging my pores or makes it more visible. So far it didn't cause any breakout or makes my skin dry. But my ritual is include using moisturizer before make up, so it help prevent skin from drying. It last about 3-4 hours on me.

As a blush, the color is not really shown. But it did creating a shy blushing on my cheeks. (Like below picture). This is also good as a blush topper because it does not change the original color of the blush too much. It will be perfect pair for a matte blusher whenever you need extra glow on your face.

Beauty Swap with Winda

My first beauty swap and I'm so excited writting about this..! I never know that Beauty Swap could be this fun. Now let's start with a story of knowing my partner.

Winda is a fellow Indonesian beauty blogger who active blogging longer than me.. She first started her blog on wind-atree.blogspot.com which now become www.dajourneys.com.. Congratulations for your new web domain, bae! (Follow her Instagram on : @wind1403).

We first met on ClozetteID. Yes, we are both Star Clozetters. We know each other from Star Clozetter's Whatsapp, following each other's IG account, then coincidentally featured together in Gogirl! Magazine December 2015 issue together with Jean Milka and Dea Hamdan.

While she lives in Bandung, I lives in smaller city, Kediri, and facing difficulties getting this magazine. Then Winda offered to get this for me and asked whether there is anything else I want. (Isn't she so kind?). Then I said, "let's do a swap". She then replied "Yes, let's do it".

Winda already has few Beauty Swap experience with both international and Indonesian bloggers, so she helped me A LOT in doing this. She explained what is beauty swap and how to do it. She asked me to create the rules (such as the budget, the preference, etc) and make sure that this experience will be memorable to me. She's like my big sister, the one who will take care of you, if you get what I mean. She makes me comfortable all the way.

She's also fast. I mean, with all her busy things around, I couldn't believe she managed to do this thousand times better than me. She wrapped the box nicely with green gift wrap. This supposed to be a Christmas swap and I certainly feels like Christmas.

My first impression when open the box is "What??? She wrapped the things one by one with a green wrap!! I'm so ashamed, I only wrapped few things together with thick bubble wrap. I only think about safety, not the aesthetic of gift wrapping. Stupid me!".

Second thing, "OMG! How could she do this to me?". While I was amazed of how Winda wrapped each of them nicely and unwrapping them with a happy heart (and regret why I didn't do something better for her), I was counting them. The total is 24 items including the magz. I only put half of the number inside my package for her.

Even my Lizzy could not stop looking at them 😁

The third thing is Winda's thoughful picks. My gift for her is just a bunch of random thing. Got package from her is like winning complete year supply of make up. From the bb cream, cc cream, powder, concealer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, eyelashes, lipbalm, lipgloss, lipstick, blusher, nailpolish. You name it, Winda put all of them inside the package. Even I got some mask and eyecream too. I will write the list of the products in the bottom part of this post.

What I want to say to Winda is thank you for being such a good friend to me. I'm so happy to know you. Without you realize, you teach me so many things. Friendship, hardwork, being on time, being a good mother, and of course how to do beauty swap. Next time I will do much better than this if you still want to have swap with me.. Lol..
