Shop My Stash 11 March 2016

Heeeyyyhoo.. I'm back with the Second ShopMyStash.. My First ShopMyStash was on late January (read here) and I haven't change items since then. The progress is very good on some items, but some others not showing good progress, even few things were untouched. Therefore this time I reduce the number of items from 25 to 20. Two items from previous stash has been finished (Dior Nude Air and Chanel Beaute des Cils), 16 items are kept for current stash and 4 new items being added to the list.

16 items from previous stash are kept because I want to finish most of them as soon as possible. They are either old stuff or my least favorite. Here they are:

1. Make Up Forever Aqua Cream #16. I almost never touched it last month, but since my Naked showing some pan already, maybe I should start working on it again.

2. ABH Dipbrow Pomade Ebony. A little goes a long way. But I'm sure we can see a bit progress here. Just a bit!

3. Bobbi Brown Gel Liner Denim Ink. It was hitting pan on Feb 27th.

4. Benefit Dandelion Mini. It is quite nice on my cheek so I'm enjoying it.

5. Coty Airspun Powder. I'm using it as setting powder. It is good for baking technique too.

6. The Balm Mary Lou Manizer. I tried to repress it yesterday, It's so annoying because the powder is going everywhere. I haven't used it again because I'm reviewing Gerard Cosmetics Star Powders today.

7. Clinique Fresh Bloom. It cracked last week so I couldn't bring it to travel.

8. Guerlain Kiss Kiss Rouge Kiss Mini.

9. Tom Ford Twist of Fate. A LOT of progress here. It is now gone much further than the embossing.

10. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil. The dent is a bit deeper than last time.

11. Urban Decay Naked Palette. Three pans in two weeks! Half Baked on March 1st, Smog on March 3rd, and Sidecar on March 10th. Half Baked and Smog are getting bigger, but Sidecar still difficult to be captured in photo.

12. Clinique Duo Like Mink. I don't know.. Lol

13. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. I think it is going near the end, maybe just another month.

14. Burberry Fresh Glow in Nude Radiance. Instant Glow is a must! Maybe less than 20% left.

15. Dior It Lash Blue.

16. YSL Touche Eclat Pen.

4 new items, all lippies!

17. Sleek Matte Me Birthday Suit

18. Too Faced Melted Ruby

19. Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry Kiss (reviewed here)

20. Givenchy Le Rouge Rose Dressing

Hope to show you some progress next time. Thank you for reading!

Tom Ford MoodLight

Am I the last to post this Moodlight? Lol!! I did not intend to post a review about this since I thought this is a Limited Edition and selling fast. But I still see this being sold everywhere till now, so one more review of this baby won't hurt right?

This Illuminating Duo caught my attention even before it was launched. That simplicity won my heart. The pattern is just so simple with TF embossing in the middle of each pan. I am on No-Buy recently, but if you asked me if I could only shop one brand in 2016, without a doubt I would say Tom Ford it is! Please tell Mr.Ford that I am fall in love with his line.

The packaging is also so lux. If saw some friends stacking few TF compact and seriously I thought that is the best make up stack ever.. This kind of packaging is timeless.. I think I will still love this in the next 10 years, 20 years or more.. The case is not too small, but sleek enough to put inside the make up pouch. Oh, and the mirror is helpful for touch up too..

I don't own / try many Tom Ford products beside lipstick, so I'm not in the place to give comment about the quality consistency.. But this is not powdery or easily fall out. It is not overly picked with any brush that I have. It is definitely safe for beginner. This is foolproof!

The finish is very natural. When picked by fingers, it is so pigmented. But when using brush, the amount is perfect for a subtle glow, and it is buildable to a certain level.

You can use it separately or blend it together. Basically you have three choices here, all of them are incredibly pretty. (See the swatch above). The glow is super fine but noticeable both in natural or artificial lighting. It last for 7 hours on me before fading.

The price is high, IKR? But I haven't found other illuminating product as pretty as this. Usually they are too glamour, too shimmery, too much glow or sometimes even not enough glow. (If you have any suggestion, please tell me).. It is safe for now to say that this is one of my best pick in 2015.

Thank you for reading..

Shop My Stash 23 Jan 2016

Just like I said before, I have to stop buying new make up (read this).. I have more than enough already.. I won't post any numbers because I'm still not ready to tell you (maybe one day).. Lol.. But I guess I could share some Shop My Stash action I've been doing since early of the year..

Have you ever heard about 'Shop My Stash'? Many beauty bloggers use this words to describe their action in picking their old collection back to use again instead of buying the new one. Yeah I'm doing this now.

The feeling is definitely different with getting new items or receiving new mail. That excitement of opening package or adoring new items is not there. I'm sorry I mean no offense, but I guess we could say that shopping addict can be related to psychological issue..

For me, any addiction means no good.. I'm not judging everyone else, everybody has their own life. If you are happy with collecting and hoarding and you have enough money, then nothing's wrong with it. If you feel something wrong with it, then it is wrong. It's in your head.

I'm still being in love scrolling through internet and IG adoring some friends' collection. Nothing can change my love for make up.. But I'm judging myself, for buying too much make up, for spending too much money on it, and most of all for not using it well..

Yes, almost all my collection are still on 95% condition or more while I have the collection worth a small car.. Yes I'm not kidding here. I spent my money that could buy a small car and I'm not using them well.. Okay by this reason, I made decision to begin Shop My Stash..

If you read my previous post about my resolution, you will read that I don't do project pan anymore because of some reason. This Shop My Stash is more suitable for me since there are not too many rules in this game. The only rule is : USE WHAT YOU HAVE, DON'T BUY A NEW ONE..

Well, I don't say that I'm 100% clean from this 'disease'. I have to admit that I'm ordering a few this month. But that for me still reasonable if I compare with my previous years. And so far I finished more that I bought. I promise to myself I will do better in coming months.

I hope this will help to inspire some people who want to take same path like me. But please do remember that I still love make up, and I don't have any intention to stop loving it. I only want to maximize the use of my current collection, the use of my money..

Then, here we go! My picks for my first Shop My Stash.. These products could be changed anytime I want or need but hopefully I will stick with them at least for a week.

I picked some old stuff here. Most of them are full size. A few products are picked because I want to finish them soon and some other picked because I love them. Lol.. There is two products that re-appeared from my 2015 project pan (read here). The amount of the products already reduced from the last update on August 2015 since I keep using it regularly or shared it.

Here is the list of my 25 picks :

1. Dior Nude Air Sample (reviewed here). This is only 20% left.

2. Benefit Dandelion Mini (reviewed here). I haven't told you this one cracked when I depoted it out from the kit and I have used the broken part.

3. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua.. One of my oldest foundation. I bought this around June 2014 and start using it in November 2014. It's still 60-70% remaining and hope will gone in the end of the year. Bit hard to finish it since I don't wear foundie everyday.

4. Coty Airspun Powder (reviewed here). This powder comes in generous amount. This is only 30% of the product. (The case is from Pola, I moved the products here while I sold the rest of the product in original case. I couldn't finish it alone!).

5. Burberry Fresh Glow in Nude Radiance (reviewed here) for instant glow.. Maybe 40% remaining..

All 5 basics above choosen by intention of finishing them soon.

6. Chanel Ombres Perlees Eyeshadow Palette.. This is a sentimental product for me. Beside the formula is outstanding, it is my first high end product, bought on my first trip to Paris in 2010 (???). When my friends busy with designer bags, I took this baby home. 5 years and I still love it like ever.

7. Clinique Duo Like Mink.. My mom gave it to me and it is not loved properly.

8. Urban Decay Book of Shadow NYC. Even on the next 10 years, I need to keep it simply because of the packaging. And I love to combine with some neutrals like Naked Palette.

9. Urban Decay Naked Palette. Another oldies. I've been wearing this for 2 weeks and I see small progress on the eyeshadows. Sadly I didn't take picture of it two weeks ago..

10. Make Up Forever Aqua Cream 01 (dark grey color). Whenever I need a longlasting eye make up.

11. Make Up Forever Aqua Cream 16. Reappeared from the last project pan. Not so well loved after the project finish. Want to declutter but I just couldn't. That's why I need to give a big shot this time.

12. The Balm Mary Lou Manizer (reviewed here). I tend to hate a broken products no matter how good they are. Mary Lou is pretty but deep in my heart I want this one gone soon (and buy the new one? Lol). In reality it is impossible, you will never finish a highlighter.. Hahaha..

13. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil. This one is from Beauty Wishes and Sweet Kisses. In total I have 3 pieces of Chocolate Soleil, the other two are from Everything's Nice and from La Belle Carousel. Come on! I don't need all three of them.

14. Dior It Lash Blue. I love this mascara a lot! I don't mind wearing this everyday.

15. Chanel Beaute des Cils. For a good base and bolder looks.

16. YSL Touche Eclat Pen. Love to use it undereye..

17. YSL Babydoll Eyeliner Gris Vynil.

18. ABH Dipbrow Pomade Ebony. Also from last project pan. I shared some with my friends so only small amount left (but I think it will last till the end of the year). A little goes a long way.

19. Bobbi Brown Gel Liner Denim Ink. Favorit color! I love this one a lot! Will do swatch for you soon..

20. Clinique Fresh Bloom. I'm mixing all color and use it on my cheek as natural blusher.

21. Guerlain Kiss Kiss Rouge Kiss Mini

22. MAC Lip Creme Perpetual Flame

23. Tom Ford Twist of Fate

24. Topshop Macaroon

25. YSL RPC Rouge Rose / Rosy Coral

I choose all different tone to survive this week. Tom Ford Twist of Fate is my most favorite.

This is your bonus because you stay with me till the end, swatch of 5 lippie this week..

Thank you for reading.. See you next time! Have a good weekend  ðŸ˜ŠðŸ˜ŠðŸ˜Š

Tom Ford Noir Night Sky

After months of waiting, finally Night Sky is mine. When some people said this is too dark and not suitable for daily use therefore this is such a waste buy, I just couldn't hear them. For me this is so pretty and I couldn't wait to lay my hands on it. And some pictures I saw just failed to capture the beauty of this baby, but I don't care. I have trusted Tom Ford will create a gorgeous one.

I have to admit that this color is not everyone's color. Midnight blue will create such a perfect smokey eyes, but some people just not brave enough to pull it out. In reality, I am on that category. So I will not go too bold in this post. I will make this Night Sky wearable for my daily make up.

The design is just like previous Cream and Powder Eye Color. Just like Naked Bronze (review here) and the gank, the case is divided into two parts. The top is for powder and bottom is for cream. The top is in solid black color (while Naked Bronze's is white), and the bottom is transparent so we can see the color of the cream eyeshadow. (Now I have a soulmate for my Naked Bronze. Lol..) I have a bit issue with the black case which so easily capture dirt. You can see the picture above, dirt is visible there although I already swipe it for so many times.

Now here's the inside part of the top compartment, which is the powder eyeshadow. The shimmers are fine enough so we could not see them clearly if there's is no proper lighting nor perfect angle. I tried to capture it under different light and different angle just to show you how actually the shimmers are a lot but sometimes not really show up just because of how fine they are.

The cream eyeshadow is da bomb! As usual the texture is incredibly creamy and so soft. I believe that's the reason why I received the messy looks, while at the store it has a beautiful yummy swirl on the surface. (My friend sent it by mail and I guess the long journey creates a jet lag on the cream. Lol). This also happened to my Naked Bronze (but not to my Soleil Tan de Chanel) that the cream is not in perfect shape when arrived, so this could be a prove of how soft and creamy the texture is.

The cream eyeshadow is superrrrrrr pigmented. This is really a little goes a long way. Only need less that the tip of your cotton bud to create that swatch. The blue makes my heart skips a beat..

The powder eyeshadow is a bit dissapointing in texture. It is a bit drier that the one in Naked Bronze so it is impossible to wear it alone. But when you dab it on top of the cream, taaa daaaaa... Night Sky is on your lid.. Midnight blue with a sparkling stars over there.

Cream Eyeshadow
The cream eyeshadow is easy to blend and buildable. Well, not as blue as the one I swatch in my hand because on lid I only put just a little bit product while on my hand is a thick swatch. The color is still a night blue, but it does not show up in picture.

I suggest to build it bit by bit to avoid a punched-face look. Start from the outer and blend it well into the middle of the lid. I think it will go well with other eyeshadow too. Let your creativity take over. Maybe I will try some other looks when I feel better.

Cream + Powder Eyeshadow

The sparkle is really hard to capture. I hope you could still see that. There is no fall out if applying using fingertips. I notice that dabbing lightly for few times with fingertips get better and more natural result than a brush swipe.

I Tried to provide you with different type of shoot to give you better picture of the color. The blurry picture below is my reflection on desk mirror..

What do you think of Night Sky? Does this make you Ooh and Aahh just like I do? Lol.  Thank you for reading.

Tom Ford Cream and Powder Eye Color Naked Bronze Review and Swatch

A super latepost from me.. This piece is almost sold out everywhere (if not already sold out). I know this post is to pass if your intention is to buy this beauty since it is almost gone in all Tom Ford counters. But let me share my review and swatch. So let's make it short.

Honestly this is my first eyeshadow from Tom Ford and I could not compare to another Tom Ford pieces. But since it is Limited Edition Summer 2015, it is indeed collectible.

My first impression about Tom Ford is always the price. I need to prepare my money months before buying anything from Tom Ford. Lol..

This is a clever idea to pair cream and powder in one product. We can use either the cream or powder alone or combine both to create more glamorous look.

I love the creamy texture of the cream. It glides smoothly on my lids, easy to blend, and have a very natural color. Some people may think this is too soft, but personally I think this color is perfect for natural eye make up or daily make up.

The powder creates a shimmery looks when put over the cream. I use my fingers to gently dab on my lids. The shimmer is not too much, but you still can see it when you blink your eyes.

I swatch it in different light. On hands and on eyes. Sorry for bad lighting and uneven eyelids. Hope you don't mind.

Overall this is a good stuff, but looking at the price, you should first peek into your pocket whether it is worth for you or not. If you don't put your whole heart into it, then don't. But if you loving it into the last dip, it is worth to buy.

Thanks for reading. Have a nice day..
