Emina Cheeklit Sugarcane

Hi again, how are you today? Hope your day is better than mine. I have to finish a lot of things recently. Right now, I'm taking a break in the middle of my work, sipping coffee and decide to share another Emina product from my friend before continuing my endless to do list.

This is my first Emina Cheeklit which is a blusher. I don't really know the general quality of the products because I never tried the complete range by myself.

The packaging is so small, it is even smaller than Clinique Cheek Pop. It contains 3.5g of products. Not as much as other brand which is usually a minimum of 4g, but I don't mind since I have a lot of blusher and I will never finish all of them. The case is transparent, so basically you can see the color inside. And because it is very small it becomes really travel-friendly.

The first time I saw it I think that the color is too pale for my skin tone and too flat because it is matte (update: there is golden shimmer but not too visible). But then when I applied it, the color blends beautifully and create a gorgeous natural color and perfect for daily looks. I'm happy my friend pick this color because I never think this color will be very nice before.

The texture is a bit powdery but I don't find it troubling me much. It is also not creating skin problem even after I'm wearing it a week in a row. This last for 5 hours when I don't wear foundation and up to 6.5 hours when I use over a good primer and foundation. But I do not suggest to wear for outdoor and sweaty day, it will not last long. And be careful because without good base, it could melt on super hot days.

Overall, it is a very good choice for that price tag. I think I'm gonna pick few more shades later.

Thank you for reading.

Clinique Cheek Pop Berry Pop and Plum Pop

Today I'm gonna review Clinique Cheek Pop in Berry Pop and Plum Pop. Last time I already wrote about Ginger Pop and Peach Pop and said that their formula is one of the best I have tried so far (reviewed here). Let's peek on the other sisters now .

I bought these together with Ginger Pop and Peach Pop, and again because of the floral embossing. That time they are not yet famous like today. I even bought 2 pieces of Berry Pop. That's why in the picture, it is the only one that still untouched.

Small doesn't mean bad things if related to Cheek Pop. This is a little goes a long way. The small case also make it so travel friendly. I love the transparant packaging and it is very sturdy. I never heard of broken Cheek Pop so far. Doesn't it mean that this thing is a fighter?

While Ginger Pop and Peach Pop are soft color, these two are quite bright and the color are popping on my cheeks. The texture is the winner, the powder looks stiff but actually it is so pigmented and buttery and no fall out at all. I don't need much product to create the looks in the picture below.

The finish is silky and smooth. It is not shimmery but somehow looks dewy on my skin, especially Plum Pop. While Berry Pop is between matte and dewy and is really beautiful too. Both are very blendable and long lasting. They last for almost 8 hours on humid weather. Not exactly like the first hour, but in the end of the day the color is remain visible.

Picture Left : Berry Pop. Picture Right : Plum Pop

Cheek Pop is still in my top favorite blush list for all time. Can't wait until my no-buy challenge over.. Lol.. Thank you for reading.. Have a good day!!

Tom Ford Noir Night Sky

After months of waiting, finally Night Sky is mine. When some people said this is too dark and not suitable for daily use therefore this is such a waste buy, I just couldn't hear them. For me this is so pretty and I couldn't wait to lay my hands on it. And some pictures I saw just failed to capture the beauty of this baby, but I don't care. I have trusted Tom Ford will create a gorgeous one.

I have to admit that this color is not everyone's color. Midnight blue will create such a perfect smokey eyes, but some people just not brave enough to pull it out. In reality, I am on that category. So I will not go too bold in this post. I will make this Night Sky wearable for my daily make up.

The design is just like previous Cream and Powder Eye Color. Just like Naked Bronze (review here) and the gank, the case is divided into two parts. The top is for powder and bottom is for cream. The top is in solid black color (while Naked Bronze's is white), and the bottom is transparent so we can see the color of the cream eyeshadow. (Now I have a soulmate for my Naked Bronze. Lol..) I have a bit issue with the black case which so easily capture dirt. You can see the picture above, dirt is visible there although I already swipe it for so many times.

Now here's the inside part of the top compartment, which is the powder eyeshadow. The shimmers are fine enough so we could not see them clearly if there's is no proper lighting nor perfect angle. I tried to capture it under different light and different angle just to show you how actually the shimmers are a lot but sometimes not really show up just because of how fine they are.

The cream eyeshadow is da bomb! As usual the texture is incredibly creamy and so soft. I believe that's the reason why I received the messy looks, while at the store it has a beautiful yummy swirl on the surface. (My friend sent it by mail and I guess the long journey creates a jet lag on the cream. Lol). This also happened to my Naked Bronze (but not to my Soleil Tan de Chanel) that the cream is not in perfect shape when arrived, so this could be a prove of how soft and creamy the texture is.

The cream eyeshadow is superrrrrrr pigmented. This is really a little goes a long way. Only need less that the tip of your cotton bud to create that swatch. The blue makes my heart skips a beat..

The powder eyeshadow is a bit dissapointing in texture. It is a bit drier that the one in Naked Bronze so it is impossible to wear it alone. But when you dab it on top of the cream, taaa daaaaa... Night Sky is on your lid.. Midnight blue with a sparkling stars over there.

Cream Eyeshadow
The cream eyeshadow is easy to blend and buildable. Well, not as blue as the one I swatch in my hand because on lid I only put just a little bit product while on my hand is a thick swatch. The color is still a night blue, but it does not show up in picture.

I suggest to build it bit by bit to avoid a punched-face look. Start from the outer and blend it well into the middle of the lid. I think it will go well with other eyeshadow too. Let your creativity take over. Maybe I will try some other looks when I feel better.

Cream + Powder Eyeshadow

The sparkle is really hard to capture. I hope you could still see that. There is no fall out if applying using fingertips. I notice that dabbing lightly for few times with fingertips get better and more natural result than a brush swipe.

I Tried to provide you with different type of shoot to give you better picture of the color. The blurry picture below is my reflection on desk mirror..

What do you think of Night Sky? Does this make you Ooh and Aahh just like I do? Lol.  Thank you for reading.

Clinique Cheek Pop Blush Pop : Ginger Pop and Peach Pop

I was so crazy for Cheek Pop when they first launched last year. I bought all 4 first launched shades. The embossing just keep shouting my name. I even bought 2 pieces of Berry Pop which I already giving away one of them. (You know you should do that when you don't have any space left)

This time I'm discussing about no 01 Ginger Pop and no 02 Peach Pop. (While no 03 and 04 will be posted next time). These no 01 and 02 are soft color and suitable for light to medium skin tone.

The case is transparent so you can see the color of the blush and also the pretty flower embossing too. (The new one is very pretty, these two are already used and so well loved, please excuse the shape).

The case is strong and thick enough to protect the product. When I first see this, I thought 'Oh this is cute but really small'. I still bought them though. No accessories like mirror or brush included.

Ginger Pop is almost same with Peach Pop but with a little bit more red on it.

Peach Pop is a pinkish coral and softer and lighter than Ginger Pop.

Both of them are so incredible regarding pigmentation, texture and lasting power. So far they are one of the best blush that I ever tried.

On the pan, the powder looks sturdy and strong, but surprisingly soft enough and easy-picked with any blush brush that I have (4 different brushes). The texture is almost creamy and really blendable. The color will blend beautifully on my skin. No fall out on application.

Pigmentation is really good. I don't need much effort to make them show up like in the picture. Really a little goes a long way. After uncountable use, we still can see the pretty embossing clearly. When they already set up on my cheeks, they will last for 7 hours on humid weather.

In above picture, I'm using Ginger Pop on my left cheek and Peach Pop on my right cheek. Both are very beautiful, but I suggest to try first before you buy for people who have medium to dark skin tone, especially if you eyeing on Peach Pop.

And just like it is not enough, I'm gonna say it again: They are one of the best blush that I've ever tried. When they launched new shades last time I just ooh and ahh.. Promise to get them soon as I can (I'm dreaming of Cola Pop)..

Thank you for reading..

Les Merveilleuses Laduree Powder Cheek Color 02

This one been in my phone for a loooongg time.. My bad I forget to write review about this. I took pictures and made review points in my journal few months ago but forget to write on blog. (You can see my hair is still black on below picture, while now my hair is so much lighter). That just explain how bad I am.

Laduree is of course a super pretty beauty brand that never failed to satisfy my girly needs. I don't own that many Laduree, I only have 2 pieces of them, this one and another is the infamous Rose Blush. Maybe I'll do review about it too later since this is a permanent item. (I usually don't do review on limited edition products if I think I'm too late)

I'm choosing shade no 02, the super pretty pink!! I'm happy that Laduree write in English in the box so that I can understand more about the products. Some Asian products only write in their mother language and that is so frustating for me.

Inside the pretty ball, we have a super cute puff! Look at that ribbon! And the size is not too big make it even cuter! Also have a tray for placing the puff. Then we found another divider tray with seal to prevent product to go all over the case while on shipping.

After opening the seal, we could see the holes like we usually find in loose powder.. Not kidding, I love every single thing in this set.

Now move to swatch. Laduree Cheek Powder is beautiful in every way. See that rosy glow on my skin!

It is quite easy to blend but be careful not to overdo it. After picking the product, it's necessary to tap the puff to prevent fall out before apply on your cheek. It last around 4 hours before fading. It will last longer if you are not easily sweating like me.

Another one, it smells sooooooooooo good! Soft rosy smell that become the signature of Les Merveilleuses Laduree.. Have I told you that I'm in love with Rose lately??

Thank you for reading, see you again very berry soon.. *cheers
