Christmas Dinner : Cooking, Baking, and Unboxing

Merry Christmas Everyone! Ho ho ho...

Do you celebrate Christmas too? How do you celebrate? We (I and my husband) celebrate at home, just two of us. Our big family never held a Christmas party.

We decorate the Christmas Tree and have dinner in the living room. This year, we made homecooked burger and mix grilled veggies and also chocolate drink for refreshment. We did not plan the dinner menu, so the ingredients are basically anything left in the fridge. And that what makes it even more meaningful.

I have baked Pandan Ogura Cake. It is so fluffy, soft and low in calories. I took the risk since this is my first Ogura and I am amateur. Baking a new type of cake is not easy when we are not so expert. Each and every oven is different. When the recipe says 170degrees 50minutes, it becomes 170degrees 70minutes and the surface not turning brown, I need to adjust the temperature to 220degrees for another 10minutes. Luckily it is au bain marie so the result is still so moist and yummy eventhough it is not perfect. Next time I need to do experiment with the temp.

No party without a gift, LOL. Actually I have some stuffs from my husband and I haul some too, but the goodies are not arrived on time. Well, let's spare for another post. Now, let me share the gift from my lovely fellow beauty blogger Winda (www.dajourneys.com).

This is my second time changing Christmas gift with her. The first time was last year, you can read about it here. Let's peek what Santa Winda sent to me:

1. It's My Cushion. I always want this DIY Cushion. I think it will be really useful to mix and match my holygrail inside this cushion to save time in applying make up. Winda knows it and she bought one for me.

2. Skinfood My Short Cake Eyeshadow Trio
3. Etude House 3 Step Volumecara
4. Beauty People Gel Eyeliner Pencil
5. Hope Girl Wonder Magic Mascara
6. Lioele Dollish Eyeshadow Triple

7. Majolica Majorca Honey Pump Lipgloss
8. Etude House Color Pop Shine Tint
9. Canmake Candy Wrap Lip
10. Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick

All these Korean and Japanese Beauty Products are so beautiful and I'm so thankful for these presents. Thank you so much Winda for thoughtfully picking them for me.

In the last part, I want to say happy birthday to sweet Jesus. I'm so thankful that You're born and die for us. I will always be grateful.

Now, cheers to everybody! Have a Holy Jolly Christmas!

Tarte Holiday 2014 Pin Up Girl vs 2016 Color Wheel

Who can resist Tarte Holiday this year? I definitely need to get this Color Wheel for sure. So as soon as it was available for presale, I asked my friend in Singapore to get it for me.

I can't do detail review about it due to my hectic schedule so I can't try them one by one on my cheeks, but I will share swatches of them and also comparison to the 2014 edition.

I passed on last year edition because I personally think they are identical. Not totally same but you get what I mean. I also passed on the four-shades blush palette. As you can see that 2014 still in the 99℅ condition, any normal person will agree that I don't need another blush palette.

But this 2016 palette consist of 10 deluxe shades in super affordable price! How good is that! If you don't believe me, you can check the single blush price at Sephora and I'm sure you will say that this is an awesome deal.

Plus Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes is one of the best blushes out there. It lasts whole day! Really I'm not kidding and I'm not the only one saying that. The quality is one of the best and this brand is cruelty and paraben free. It's even gluten free. I love Tarte! See the ingredients and details in the back of the box.

If the 2014 (and 2015) edition is 5-shades of blushes in rectangular shape placed side by side, the 2016 edition is a 10 shades wheel. When you open it, there are 5 shades in each side.

The 2014 (which called Pin Up Girl because it includes 2 vintage hair pins) has 4.5g / 0.158oz x 5 shades net wieghts, while the 2016 (Color Wheel) has 2.4g / 0.084oz x 10. In my opinion, because of the color range the 2016 edition has better value than previous edition.

The 2014 case is so pretty but it is so bulky that I find it difficult to store. The 2016 case is more compact and not taking so much space. The 2014 has huge mirror but 2016 does not.

The other different thing is the name of each shade. The Pin Up Girl has the shade names printed on the plastic that covering the products, so when you want to use the product, you will take out the plastic and the name will not be seen on the palette (I don't know if this is important for you). The Color Wheel has the name printed on the case near each shade. The plastic attached to the case, I believe you can take it out if you want to but I prefer this way. I think the plastic will protect the product from the fall out of other shades in the same palette.

This 2016 plastic is thick so it does not affect me when I want to use the blushes. The 2014 plastic is so thin that I feel annoyed anytime I open and close because it won't sit properly when I put it back. It sometimes slips out from the case too.

I don't have any complaints about the quality of the products on 2014 Pin Up Girl and when I swatch the 2016 I feel the same way. It is even just slightly more buttery than the Pin Up Girl because of course it is new, it is normal. I'm glad I found out that after two years passed, the quality of the blushes is still very good.

There it is, the comparison of Pin Up Girl and Color Wheel. There is no regret buying them even for a cent. And I want to say thank you to my husband for lending me his arm, mine can't fit that many shades in one picture. Lol.

Thank you for reading lovelies. Have a good day.

Complete Make Up Packing List

Hello lovely readers, how are you? I'm now in the middle of my journey. Currently having a good evening in Schliersee, Germany. The weather is so nice and it is far from crowded city. I'm enjoying it so far. And because I have plenty of time today, I want to share about my complete make up packing list.

Last time I already posted about what I bring in my Zebra Z-Palette (read here), then now I'm sharing about the rest. My list is not that long because (of course!) I want to buy some more on the way.

1. Lip palette. I don't want to bring too many lipsticks, but I'm not confident with just one or two. So I depotted 4 pieces of almost-done lipsticks into my recycled Clinique case that I already sterilized using alcohol. It's compact and handy. They are Menard One Touch, Guerlain Kiss Kiss Rouge Kiss, Givenchy Rose Dressing, Tom Ford Twist of Fate.

2. Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow

3. Marc Jacobs Magic Marc'er Eyeliner Pen

4. Benefit They're Real Mascara

5. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

6. Make Up For Ever HD Concealer

7. Urban Decay Primer Potion Sin

8. Make Up For Ever Step 1 Primer Smoothing

9. MAC Fix+ Rose (Limited Edition)

Above is the picture when I was test driving the products I choose and I quite like the result. In fact, I was sure I'm not going to use them all everyday. So, they should be more than enough.

However, I choose to add few more things into my make up bag on last minute because honestly those are as important as the others.

10. Shu Uemura Maison Kitsune Travel Brush Set

11. Chanel Travel Brush Set + Pouch (It could fit a lot of things)

12. Chanel Universelle Compacte

13. Chanel Les Beiges Cream

14. Dior Lipglow Coral

15. Laneige BB Cushion without case (I already finished that when I was in Paris last week)

So, how am I doing in this 2 weeks time? I don't use them as much as I want. I like to use BB Cream more than Foundation. I love wearing lipbalm more than lipstick. Sometimes I only wear sunscreen, lipbalm, and eyeliner. And I hit pan on my Nars Orgasm!!! LOL!! What a surprise!

What do you think of my packing list? Do you think that's too many or maybe not enough? Well then, I'm getting sleepy now. It's almost midnight. So, see you again on next post. Thank you for reading..

Guerlain Rouge G Merveilleux Rose (867)

Holiday season is a busy time for me and my wallet. While I work harder than usual, my wallet is paying harder than usual too. I'm broke! Lol.. This time I managed to only buy my most wanted pieces. In Guerlain case, it must be the Meteorites and the Rouge G lipstick. I was contemplating about the powder but I decided not to buy it since I still have wishlist from another brand. If you curious about the Meteorites, I will post a review just after this post. Stay tuned!

Okay, back to Rouge G. I think this series has the most unique design among all lipstick that I own. While Chanel's RAV closure is already dupeable, I still haven't found another lipstick which has this kind of design like Rouge G.  The difference between the regular and holiday edition is only the holiday edition has pattern on the case while the regular don't.

It feels heavy in my hand, in fact maybe the heaviest lipstick that I have in term of packaging. Therefore it also feels so lux when I take this out for touch up. If you open the cap, it will automatically open the mirror inside the cap. The golden pin is playing role as the lock.

The color is a rosy pink and looks a bit dusty according to me. It is soft enough to be used in the morning and afternoon. This is easily loved and will definitely become my go-to lipstick.

I love the texture of Rouge G. It is so smooth and lightweight but still pigmented and quite long lasting looking at how soft the color that Merveilleux Rose has. It glides smoothly on my lips, sheer at first but buildable. The swatch I provide in this review is a double swipes. It last for more than five hours without F&B consumption. It has moisturizing formula which is so comfortable whole day.

If lipstick is a woman, I would say that Tom Ford has bold, fierce, and daring personality, Dior Addict is the fashionable and flexible one, Marc Jacobs is chic and independent, while this Rouge G is soft and elegant.

So, officially my favorite lippies formula are now a Fantastic Four. Lol.. Do you have any favorite lippie formula?

Thanks for reading 😊
