Make Up For Ever Step 1 Smoothing Primer

Helllooooo... Happy holiday guys! Are you going somewhere? Or you prefer to stay at home? Or maybe you are like me, who have to work when people going on holidays and have holidays when people get to work? I'm working in hospitality industry so I won't have Easter, Idul Fitri, School, Summer, Christmas, and New Year holidays.

But, I have spare time this morning. And I can't wait to show you about this thing. The Make Up Forever Step 1 Smoothing Primer. There are so many choices of Step 1 according to your concern, but my first pick is absolutely the Smoothing because of my large pores and bad textures.

I bought this around one year ago. That explains the dirty packaging. I keep the box, but I totally forget where I put it. So stupid. Hahaha.. There should be more explaination in the box. So this time, please refer to the official website of Make Up For Ever if you want to know more about ingredients etc.

The first time I saw it in counter, the BA tried on her face and this looks amazing. It smoothes the skin immediately and in seconds I put it inside the basket without trying on myself.

It almost like Benefit Porefessional, but personally I like this one more. The texture is lighter and the result is better on me. I don't feel sticky or stickery when using this. There is also no intense perfume on the product.

If you never tried Benefit Porefessional, I will explain it simply. The texture is like a cream, but a bit bouncy. When applied to skin, it helps to create smooth texture and cover the pores. What it does is to even the texture so you have a good canvas as a base of your make up. It does not smudge throughout the day so it is perfectly safe to use for important events. The good thing it covers the pores but not clogging them. There is no pimples or whatsoever after using it for few days in a row as long as I do a good cleaning in the end of the day.

You can see it from the comparison picture. My skin looks a lot smoother and my pores becomes not too visible and not to mention also looks more brighter isn't it? I don't wear primer often, but when it comes to urgent thing, like party, I guess I need this!

Christmas Dinner : Cooking, Baking, and Unboxing

Merry Christmas Everyone! Ho ho ho...

Do you celebrate Christmas too? How do you celebrate? We (I and my husband) celebrate at home, just two of us. Our big family never held a Christmas party.

We decorate the Christmas Tree and have dinner in the living room. This year, we made homecooked burger and mix grilled veggies and also chocolate drink for refreshment. We did not plan the dinner menu, so the ingredients are basically anything left in the fridge. And that what makes it even more meaningful.

I have baked Pandan Ogura Cake. It is so fluffy, soft and low in calories. I took the risk since this is my first Ogura and I am amateur. Baking a new type of cake is not easy when we are not so expert. Each and every oven is different. When the recipe says 170degrees 50minutes, it becomes 170degrees 70minutes and the surface not turning brown, I need to adjust the temperature to 220degrees for another 10minutes. Luckily it is au bain marie so the result is still so moist and yummy eventhough it is not perfect. Next time I need to do experiment with the temp.

No party without a gift, LOL. Actually I have some stuffs from my husband and I haul some too, but the goodies are not arrived on time. Well, let's spare for another post. Now, let me share the gift from my lovely fellow beauty blogger Winda (www.dajourneys.com).

This is my second time changing Christmas gift with her. The first time was last year, you can read about it here. Let's peek what Santa Winda sent to me:

1. It's My Cushion. I always want this DIY Cushion. I think it will be really useful to mix and match my holygrail inside this cushion to save time in applying make up. Winda knows it and she bought one for me.

2. Skinfood My Short Cake Eyeshadow Trio
3. Etude House 3 Step Volumecara
4. Beauty People Gel Eyeliner Pencil
5. Hope Girl Wonder Magic Mascara
6. Lioele Dollish Eyeshadow Triple

7. Majolica Majorca Honey Pump Lipgloss
8. Etude House Color Pop Shine Tint
9. Canmake Candy Wrap Lip
10. Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick

All these Korean and Japanese Beauty Products are so beautiful and I'm so thankful for these presents. Thank you so much Winda for thoughtfully picking them for me.

In the last part, I want to say happy birthday to sweet Jesus. I'm so thankful that You're born and die for us. I will always be grateful.

Now, cheers to everybody! Have a Holy Jolly Christmas!

L.A. Girl Color Pop Nail Polish Snapped

I'm a nail art lover since I was in highschool. My mom is a nail polish lover and like mom like daughter. I love doing my friends' nails and I even did my own wedding nail few years ago.

Currently I'm not into nail art anymore because of some reason after I get married. But sometimes, I really miss doing this. So when I was asked to try LA Girl Color Pop Nail Polish, I was beyond excited.

There are a lot of color choices, but mine is definitely Snapped! Look at that color. So hawttt isn't it? It contains 14ml of products, well that's a lot! The bottle is easy to grab and the brush size is just perfect for application.

The liquid is not clumpy and applied smoothly with or without base. The best thing is: it dries super fast. Everything is settled under 5 mins. It last about a week on me (with countless office and housewife tasks). Yep, pretty nice.

Now I'm curious about another color, will they as good as snapped?

Emina Lip Shine Cerise Red

Hello again! I'm coming back with another Emina product. It is about Lip Shine. Let say this is a lipgloss. So far I quite like Emina products, so let's hope this one is as good as the other.

The packaging is made from sturdy plastic with applicator attached to the cap. The tube is so tiny, cute and travel friendly. The length is just a bit longer than my middle finger.

The color is soft nude pink and create a gorgeous natural color when applied. The applicator is good enough for me and user friendly. It is nice to use alone or on top of another lipstick to create plump effect and to make it glossier.

It has vanilla scent that is luckily not so strong according to my liking. The texture is not too sheer and not too bold and (again) luckily not sticky. I don't like wearing lipgloss because of that stickiness, but this one is no problem.

I'm impressed with Emina products. The quality is not that bad and the price is increeeddibly cheap. Want to try them too?

Emina Oh So Kissable Cherry Pie

Hi everyone! After the BB Cream and the Blush review and swatch last time, now I am going to review this Oh So Kissable lipstick.

My first impression is definitely the price. It is incredibly cheap even for students. So let's see. Is it satisfying enough?

The packaging is cute. It is small and pink and girly. Not my type but certainly will be loved by many girls out there. It is made from plastic and has letters printed on the case.

I have the shade 05 Cherry Pie which is the bright red with slightly orange undertone. It contains 3.4g of product.

It is so bright, opaque and buttery. It does not dry my lips at all.. It is not transferproof or smudgeproof so I need to be a princess while using this (read: sit and behave nicely, otherwise there will be a total mess). It lasts for 3 hours before fading (without eating and drinking), but it leaves nice stain until the end of the day. It's like I change from bold lippie to liptint in few hours.

I could say that this lipstick should be considered among the affordable and cheap local product when you want to add new item in your collection.

Thank you for reading.

Gerard Cosmetics Star Powder Brigitte, Grace and Lucy

Hi guys! A month has passed since my last blogpost. There have been up and down and I'm quite stressed lately, even I did not post on instagram regularly. This is also not going to be a long post, just a simple review about Gerard Star Powder in Brigitte, Grace and Lucy. I have another Star Powder in Audrey from previous haul (reviewed here) and now I'm going to discuss some difference between Audrey and those three.

While my Audrey comes without box, those new comers comes inside a proper box. The case is still the same with Audrey, the mirrory golden case. Although it comes in box, Lucy can't close properly. Something wrong with the closure, I don't know whether the mistake is in the production or the shipping process. Luckily the products are all perfectly safe.

They're so beautiful together right? I have to admit I have a huge love for highlighter. Now I'll present you the individual close up below.

And the last picture is of course the swatch. I don't know if you could see the difference of the texture in the picture. Remember I said that Audrey is powdery? The other three are so much better in term of the formula. They are much more buttery and soft. Blendability is good and long lasting too. I haven't tried them for a further test, but so far I like them

Well, that's all I can say about them. See you again as soon as I can. Have a good day.

Marc Jacobs Highliner

Eyeliner is the product I use since I was in highschool. That time I use only face powder, eyeliner and lip balm. And I never limit myself to only wearing black color. I love colorful eyeliner too.

I always search for good eyeliner that last whole day because I sweat easily, therefore I prefer using liquid liner to pencil liner. That's before I become make up junkie. Now when my eyes opened to lots of brand, there are lots of options out there.

The Marc Jacobs Skyliner is a limited edition set of 7 deluxe size Highliners. This set is not available anymore on the store, but I feel like sharing the swatch and my love for them. Who knows you are searching for new eyeliner options, you can go to the counter and swatch and see if you like.

I also have two full size Highliner below. The quality of the eyeliner is really good. It is so soft and buttery but after set on my skin it last whole day. Sadly I don't really like the packaging, looks sleek, pretty and space saving but I don't feel it is functional. I don't know, can't describe but I'm just not a fan of the packaging.

So that's my short opinion about these Highliners by Marc Jacobs. Thank you for reading.

Herborist Body Butter

Have you heard about Herborist before? It is local Indonesian beauty product produced by Victoria Care Indonesia. Click HERE to learn more.

One of Herborist line is body butter. There are few variants like papaya, avocado, mango, banana, and the newest one I got are Matcha Milk and Strawberry Sorbet.

The packaging is a plastic tube containing 80g of product. Each variant has different job. The Matcha Milk is for deep moisturizing and preventing wrinkles while the Strawberry Sorbet is for deep moisturizing and brighten the skin. Both are enriched with sunscreen and whitening extract.

It smells so yummy! I like the matcha more than the strawberry one. I think the matcha is so unique. Honestly I don't like sweet scent on body products so I don't really like Strawberry Sorbet scent. It last for 4 hours on me.

The texture is not like body butter but more to body cream. The good side is that I can wear it in the morning without feeling too sticky and greasy. The down side is that it cannot be used for intensive treatment for me. Short words, in term of moisture this is better than body lotion but not as intense as how the body butter should be.

I have really bad skin condition at the heels for my whole life. After a week there is no significant healing happened. But it works for the normal to slightly dry skin. I don't know about the whitening or tightening or whatsoever, I never expect the result will be visible in only a week time. I need more time for testing it. Maybe I will update on Instagram if there is something happened after a while.

Thank you for reading 😙

Tarte Holiday 2014 Pin Up Girl vs 2016 Color Wheel

Who can resist Tarte Holiday this year? I definitely need to get this Color Wheel for sure. So as soon as it was available for presale, I asked my friend in Singapore to get it for me.

I can't do detail review about it due to my hectic schedule so I can't try them one by one on my cheeks, but I will share swatches of them and also comparison to the 2014 edition.

I passed on last year edition because I personally think they are identical. Not totally same but you get what I mean. I also passed on the four-shades blush palette. As you can see that 2014 still in the 99℅ condition, any normal person will agree that I don't need another blush palette.

But this 2016 palette consist of 10 deluxe shades in super affordable price! How good is that! If you don't believe me, you can check the single blush price at Sephora and I'm sure you will say that this is an awesome deal.

Plus Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes is one of the best blushes out there. It lasts whole day! Really I'm not kidding and I'm not the only one saying that. The quality is one of the best and this brand is cruelty and paraben free. It's even gluten free. I love Tarte! See the ingredients and details in the back of the box.

If the 2014 (and 2015) edition is 5-shades of blushes in rectangular shape placed side by side, the 2016 edition is a 10 shades wheel. When you open it, there are 5 shades in each side.

The 2014 (which called Pin Up Girl because it includes 2 vintage hair pins) has 4.5g / 0.158oz x 5 shades net wieghts, while the 2016 (Color Wheel) has 2.4g / 0.084oz x 10. In my opinion, because of the color range the 2016 edition has better value than previous edition.

The 2014 case is so pretty but it is so bulky that I find it difficult to store. The 2016 case is more compact and not taking so much space. The 2014 has huge mirror but 2016 does not.

The other different thing is the name of each shade. The Pin Up Girl has the shade names printed on the plastic that covering the products, so when you want to use the product, you will take out the plastic and the name will not be seen on the palette (I don't know if this is important for you). The Color Wheel has the name printed on the case near each shade. The plastic attached to the case, I believe you can take it out if you want to but I prefer this way. I think the plastic will protect the product from the fall out of other shades in the same palette.

This 2016 plastic is thick so it does not affect me when I want to use the blushes. The 2014 plastic is so thin that I feel annoyed anytime I open and close because it won't sit properly when I put it back. It sometimes slips out from the case too.

I don't have any complaints about the quality of the products on 2014 Pin Up Girl and when I swatch the 2016 I feel the same way. It is even just slightly more buttery than the Pin Up Girl because of course it is new, it is normal. I'm glad I found out that after two years passed, the quality of the blushes is still very good.

There it is, the comparison of Pin Up Girl and Color Wheel. There is no regret buying them even for a cent. And I want to say thank you to my husband for lending me his arm, mine can't fit that many shades in one picture. Lol.

Thank you for reading lovelies. Have a good day.
