Make Up For Ever Step 1 Smoothing Primer

Helllooooo... Happy holiday guys! Are you going somewhere? Or you prefer to stay at home? Or maybe you are like me, who have to work when people going on holidays and have holidays when people get to work? I'm working in hospitality industry so I won't have Easter, Idul Fitri, School, Summer, Christmas, and New Year holidays.

But, I have spare time this morning. And I can't wait to show you about this thing. The Make Up Forever Step 1 Smoothing Primer. There are so many choices of Step 1 according to your concern, but my first pick is absolutely the Smoothing because of my large pores and bad textures.

I bought this around one year ago. That explains the dirty packaging. I keep the box, but I totally forget where I put it. So stupid. Hahaha.. There should be more explaination in the box. So this time, please refer to the official website of Make Up For Ever if you want to know more about ingredients etc.

The first time I saw it in counter, the BA tried on her face and this looks amazing. It smoothes the skin immediately and in seconds I put it inside the basket without trying on myself.

It almost like Benefit Porefessional, but personally I like this one more. The texture is lighter and the result is better on me. I don't feel sticky or stickery when using this. There is also no intense perfume on the product.

If you never tried Benefit Porefessional, I will explain it simply. The texture is like a cream, but a bit bouncy. When applied to skin, it helps to create smooth texture and cover the pores. What it does is to even the texture so you have a good canvas as a base of your make up. It does not smudge throughout the day so it is perfectly safe to use for important events. The good thing it covers the pores but not clogging them. There is no pimples or whatsoever after using it for few days in a row as long as I do a good cleaning in the end of the day.

You can see it from the comparison picture. My skin looks a lot smoother and my pores becomes not too visible and not to mention also looks more brighter isn't it? I don't wear primer often, but when it comes to urgent thing, like party, I guess I need this!

Make Up Forever Mist & Fix

In the need of longlasting make up but you already have a lot that you don't want to buy anymore? Instead of buying new make up, maybe you want to invest your money in this Make Up For Ever Mist & Fix.

According to the site, this spray is a lightweight, non-sticky secret weapon for longer lasting makeup, Mist & Fix creates a sweat-proof, rub-resistant barrier for fresh-looking makeup that lasts up to 12 hours. It increases hydration for a silky, smooth appearance and won't dry skin out. This product is formulated with a complex to boost oxygenation and deliver a healthy-looking, radiant glow.

Seems promising right? But does it work magical like what they say? Hmm, let's see..

It comes in 2 sizes: 4.22oz and 1.01oz. Mine is 4.22 oz which is slightly taller than the MAC Fix+ bottle. The 1.01oz is perfect for travelling. The bottle is made from sturdy plastic with spray. I need to make sure to keep the distance of an arm when I spray because it is not as mild as I wish.

I usually use it as a setting spray. After my sunscreen, I will spray 2-3 times and proceed with primer (if needed), foundation and so on. It does help make up stay longer by 2-3 hours, especially foundation. It also helps foundation to blend better than without using Mist & Fix.

I don't feel my skin hydrated enough or glowing enough with only this product. I still need my moisturizer or my illuminating primer for bomb effect. But it is also not drying on my normal combination skin.

When I need intense color of eyeshadow, this also could help. By wetting my brush, it instantly makes eyeshadow to be more pigmented, less fall out and easily blended. Look at the picture of the comparison below. Left side is using brush without Mist & Fix, right side is with Mist & Fix.

Overall, Make Up For Ever Mist & Fix is a good investment for you. However, it is not that good for a finishing spray. Just so you know.. 😊

Gucci Silk Priming Serum

This primer from Gucci Beauty seems like not too popular.. But that time I need a moisturizing primer since I hate to use many layer at day time. The price is quite high but I decided to try.

If you ask me about packaging, Gucci give me a feel of luxurious on this bottle. It is heavy, black with gold letters. The embossing is all over the cap. The box is a typical Gucci beauty, I discuss about this so many times, so I won't talk anymore about this.

The pump is in golden colour and dispense a perfect amount of product. I usually use 1 or 2 pump each time.

The texture is like a thick serum or may I say a super light cream. It blends smoothly to my skin, moisturizing and quick absorbs.

It creates a smoother skin looks but not too extreme difference. It doesn't work like instant magic. You still can see the difference but it won't show up in the picture and not too visible too. It doesn't support make up longevity too.

It is quite moisturize so in my normal days I don't need to use moisturizing cream. It feels so comfortable on my skin and my skin feels softer. If you see the picture below, it gives you the touch of soft healthy glow too.

You will not get something like photoshoped face but you can feel "your skin but better" skin.. I'm confused between to put it under skincare or make up because it seems like the one in between. You decide.. 😊

Urban Decay Primer Potion Sin

Urban Decay Primer Potion (UDPP) is not a new product among beauty bloggers. But usually people will take the Original while I am more attracted to Sin. Recently UDPP has new packaging, it also includes applicator that attached to the cap. This one I'm reviewing is the old version of UDPP, therefore there will be no applicator in this case.

Sin is  a colored primer which means that it is not only act as a primer, but it also can be used alone as an eyeshadow cream and eyeshadow base.

Mine is a 11ml product. And that's more than enough for years. You need only a little (really!!) and it will work for you for 24 hours.. Be careful not to squish the tube too hard. Otherwise you will end up with too much Sin on your lids. Lol..

The color is a metalic soft pink that will blend beautifully and once it's set, it won't go anywhere unless you swipe with a waterproof make up remover. Yes because it is waterproof. Once I use it when I swim and it is mostly still there when I finished.

Eventhough Sin has a color, it does not affect too much on the eyeshadow color. As you can see in the picture above, the eyeshadow with Sin under it are so incredibly pigmented with not much color changing. It even gives the feel of glamorous in them. Sorry for the messy swatch.

I tried to swipe with wet tissue and this is what happened. The eyeshadows without primer is mostly fading but eyeshadow with primer is not. Maybe little smudge but not a big problem.

Then, am I happy with it? Yes I am!

Thank you for reading. Have a nice day..
