Marc Jacobs Highliner

Eyeliner is the product I use since I was in highschool. That time I use only face powder, eyeliner and lip balm. And I never limit myself to only wearing black color. I love colorful eyeliner too.

I always search for good eyeliner that last whole day because I sweat easily, therefore I prefer using liquid liner to pencil liner. That's before I become make up junkie. Now when my eyes opened to lots of brand, there are lots of options out there.

The Marc Jacobs Skyliner is a limited edition set of 7 deluxe size Highliners. This set is not available anymore on the store, but I feel like sharing the swatch and my love for them. Who knows you are searching for new eyeliner options, you can go to the counter and swatch and see if you like.

I also have two full size Highliner below. The quality of the eyeliner is really good. It is so soft and buttery but after set on my skin it last whole day. Sadly I don't really like the packaging, looks sleek, pretty and space saving but I don't feel it is functional. I don't know, can't describe but I'm just not a fan of the packaging.

So that's my short opinion about these Highliners by Marc Jacobs. Thank you for reading.

KIKO Ultimate Pen Long Wear Eyeliner

Hello from Kuala Lumpur! I arrived yesterday after long flight from Amsterdam and now I think I'm having jet lag. LOL.. Instead of scrolling through instagram and drooling over any latest collection, I prefer to write a review for you.

This eyeliner is from KIKO Milano. I bought this in Milano Centrale for €6.90 in the end of July. I run out of my Marc Jacobs Magic Marc'er in mid of August, so luckily I've already bought this one.

You get 1ml inside which is twice as much as Stila Eyeliner Pen and Marc Jacobs Magic Marc'er which is 0.5ml each. The pen is in black color and slightly slimmer than Stila if I'm not mistaken. I'm still away from home so I could not compare.

When you look at the first picture above, the tip of this pen is quite sharp and application is easy. Below is the swatch of the product. You can make thin line to bold wings easily. It has matte finish.

What about the performance? Well so far so good when the weather is good. I mean, this is long wear but I find it easily smudge when you scrub with water (I'll post video in instagram soon). As long as you are not easily sweating, this one is good enough. Just make sure you're not rubbing your eyes when sweating. Blot using tissue, it will be okay.

I even wear this for country to country travel in Europe and have no problem with this. Citywalk, city transport, country to country bus, train, flight, you name it, this baby has gone through it all.

Below is the picture when we were in Praha, eating Trdelnik after few hours walk in city center. I don't wear much make up while on the road and don't have any close up picture wearing it yet. (Just wait until I get home guys!).

And if you want to make it more long staying, just put your best primer on. It helps! I'm currently using Urban Decay Primer Potion and find it not as easily removed compared than without using primer.

Well, I don't know if I will repurchase or not since we don't have KIKO counter in Indonesia and not many local seller selling this eyeliner. But I don't have any regret buying it.

Thank you for reading! Have a good day (or night here) ^_^

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner Black Ink and Denim Ink

Oldie but goldie.. Yes Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner is one of my favorite eyeliner of all time. I use it for few years and I still love it till today. Who doesn't know this baby who won many award since its first appearance? Then you missed out something good.

It is a pot eyeliner so basically you need to use brush for application. From the color range, I choose the classic Black Ink and the gorgeous Denim Ink. While the best seller Black Ink is matte and suitable for all occasion, Denim Ink creates more glamourous look for night time and party since it contains glitter.

The texture is creamy and I love its easy application. For those who have normal to dry eyelids, it is quite longstaying eventhough not 100% smudgeproof and waterproof. But for those who have oily lids better to apply primer beforehand. It last for 6-7 hours indoor and 4-5 hours outdoor. I definitely need waterproof eye make up remover to remove it completely in the end of the day.

For any pot cream product, better to use it in 1-2 years or the texture will become harder and application will be more difficult. Below is my picture using Denim Ink (that is already 3 years old!)

Simple Eye Make Up under One Minute

Eyemake up is crucial for every woman. Even for not so makeup junkie. Business women definitely need it. College students need it too. Even when a mother going out with their children, at least they will put on some eyeshadows and lipstick.

But what if you are in a rush and don't have time to blend 5 shades of eyeshadow. Or maybe too risky to put a pair of eyelashes. Eyelashes could make everything better or worse, could be disaster for people that are not using it daily.

Maybe this post will help! This is the easiest and simplest way to decorate your eyes. I only use 2 eyeliner pencil and mascara to create this.. As simple as 1, 2, 3.. No need to mention, this is a quick one too.. One minute is enough..

Any eyeliner will do.. If you have 2 eyeliners, 1 in black and 1 in other popping color, then you don't have to buy a new one. Here I'm using Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencils in Zero and Ransom. I got them as part of the Book of Shadow Set. You could use any color that you like.

Talking about Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencils is not the cheapest one on the market. But it stays on my lid for 8-9 hours then start smudging on the end (after sweating all day in humid weather). Please keep in mind that I'm easily sweating and this is applied without primer.

The texture is fine. If you find difficulties to apply a flick eyeliner with Marc Jacobs Gel Liner because the texture is too soft, maybe you could try UD 24/7. It is not too hard, so it applied comfortably and glides smoothly on skin. The swatch in above picture is in my wrist, so it is difficult to apply in wrinkled skin, but it is smooth enough when applied on lids.

As you can see, I only use Zero, Ransom and mascara to decorate my eyes. I used no eyeshadow in this post, but you are free if you want to. Maybe a soft brown or soft pink if you like. I will put list of products used in the end of this post.

One: draw thick line with your colored eyeliner pencil.. Smudge a bit to make it looks natural.

Two: draw thin line close to lash line with black eyeliner. If you like more precise and sharp line, use black liquid eyeliner instead of pencil.

Three: use mascara to make a better wink.. Colored mascara for more fashionable and fancy looks, or black one for strong and bold looks. I don't suggest fake eyelashes for this kind of eyemakeup, I love to keep it simple and light..

As simple as that! Like I said, as easy as 1, 2, 3.. Lol.. The rest of your make up is according to your style or creativity.. Pair it with lipbalm for No Make Up make up looks. Or bright lipstick for girly looks..

The products used are listed below.. Thank you for reading..

Marc Jacobs Magic Marc'er Eyeliner Pen

Magic Marc'er from Marc Jacobs do some magic please?? I have small asian eyes that certainly need eyeliner to shape and make them looks bigger. Since I don't usually use contact lens and don't use fake eyelashes everyday, then eyeshadow and eyeliner are my weapon (or maybe you have suggestion for me).

Eyeliner is placing no. 2 of the make up related thing I've been using after face powder. Means that I already wear eyeliner for more than 10 years (since highschool).

Sadly I'm not that adventurous to try many eyeliners from different brand. I usually stick to only few brands of them. I maybe only tried less than 5 eyeliner pens. That's why I will not comparing this to other brands.

Magic Marc'er is well known for the precision. From a thin line to a super thick line, you just name it. Above is the swatch of medium line, thick line, and thin line. The color is also the blackest black. You will not find any shimmer in this eyeliner. The finishing is not too matte, but also not shiny.

I rarely do thin line, but I heard some friend have good experience with this. The applicator is not as stiff as Stila, that's why you need to be gentle when using this to extend the life span of the tip.

The staying power is incredible. It will not fade with only water. I tried to smudge it but I failed. It stayed all day on me (10-12 hours). The best remover is cleansing oil or waterproof make up remover. (Read about Biore Cleansing oil just before this post).

I also love the gel liner and will post a review about that too next time.. My mother who never use eyeliner even love them too. So stay tuned my dear..  Xoxo
