Make Up For Ever Step 1 Smoothing Primer

Helllooooo... Happy holiday guys! Are you going somewhere? Or you prefer to stay at home? Or maybe you are like me, who have to work when people going on holidays and have holidays when people get to work? I'm working in hospitality industry so I won't have Easter, Idul Fitri, School, Summer, Christmas, and New Year holidays.

But, I have spare time this morning. And I can't wait to show you about this thing. The Make Up Forever Step 1 Smoothing Primer. There are so many choices of Step 1 according to your concern, but my first pick is absolutely the Smoothing because of my large pores and bad textures.

I bought this around one year ago. That explains the dirty packaging. I keep the box, but I totally forget where I put it. So stupid. Hahaha.. There should be more explaination in the box. So this time, please refer to the official website of Make Up For Ever if you want to know more about ingredients etc.

The first time I saw it in counter, the BA tried on her face and this looks amazing. It smoothes the skin immediately and in seconds I put it inside the basket without trying on myself.

It almost like Benefit Porefessional, but personally I like this one more. The texture is lighter and the result is better on me. I don't feel sticky or stickery when using this. There is also no intense perfume on the product.

If you never tried Benefit Porefessional, I will explain it simply. The texture is like a cream, but a bit bouncy. When applied to skin, it helps to create smooth texture and cover the pores. What it does is to even the texture so you have a good canvas as a base of your make up. It does not smudge throughout the day so it is perfectly safe to use for important events. The good thing it covers the pores but not clogging them. There is no pimples or whatsoever after using it for few days in a row as long as I do a good cleaning in the end of the day.

You can see it from the comparison picture. My skin looks a lot smoother and my pores becomes not too visible and not to mention also looks more brighter isn't it? I don't wear primer often, but when it comes to urgent thing, like party, I guess I need this!

Thank you for reading.

Make Up Forever Mist & Fix

In the need of longlasting make up but you already have a lot that you don't want to buy anymore? Instead of buying new make up, maybe you want to invest your money in this Make Up For Ever Mist & Fix.

According to the site, this spray is a lightweight, non-sticky secret weapon for longer lasting makeup, Mist & Fix creates a sweat-proof, rub-resistant barrier for fresh-looking makeup that lasts up to 12 hours. It increases hydration for a silky, smooth appearance and won't dry skin out. This product is formulated with a complex to boost oxygenation and deliver a healthy-looking, radiant glow.

Seems promising right? But does it work magical like what they say? Hmm, let's see..

It comes in 2 sizes: 4.22oz and 1.01oz. Mine is 4.22 oz which is slightly taller than the MAC Fix+ bottle. The 1.01oz is perfect for travelling. The bottle is made from sturdy plastic with spray. I need to make sure to keep the distance of an arm when I spray because it is not as mild as I wish.

I usually use it as a setting spray. After my sunscreen, I will spray 2-3 times and proceed with primer (if needed), foundation and so on. It does help make up stay longer by 2-3 hours, especially foundation. It also helps foundation to blend better than without using Mist & Fix.

I don't feel my skin hydrated enough or glowing enough with only this product. I still need my moisturizer or my illuminating primer for bomb effect. But it is also not drying on my normal combination skin.

When I need intense color of eyeshadow, this also could help. By wetting my brush, it instantly makes eyeshadow to be more pigmented, less fall out and easily blended. Look at the picture of the comparison below. Left side is using brush without Mist & Fix, right side is with Mist & Fix.

Overall, Make Up For Ever Mist & Fix is a good investment for you. However, it is not that good for a finishing spray. Just so you know.. 😊

Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi Gloss 101 Nude Beige, 300P Golden Pink Coral, and 405P Pearly Plum

Fans of shocking shine, excessive color, and stay-on power lipgloss? I think you need to try this Artist Plexi Gloss from Make Up For Ever. A friend sent me a box contains of three tubes of these lipgloss and I'm so bad for leaving them untouched till last month.

My friend picked number 101 Nude Beige, 300P Golden Pink Coral, and 405P Pearly Plum because she loves my ombree lips last time. The colors she picked are so perfect for that purpose (and actually the texture too, show you in the end of this post). There are so many color choices for Artist Plexi Gloss, 35 shades in total! Don't you want to swatch them by yourself at the counter??

The packaging is a round transparant tube that is not too big or too small in size. It contains of 7 grams of product which is a normal size of regular lipgloss. The colors can be seen beautifully through the tubes.

The applicator, which they call SuperFlex Applicator, is not too big but contain enough product for application. It is so flexible and follow my lips contour to create smooth finish. I think the applicator successfully make the application process easier.

In reality the colors are prettier than what appear in my swatch picture. The beads, which we usually recognized as glitters, transform beautifully and create a full, smooth, glossy and vinyl-shine lips. The shades that I have are in soft color range, so maybe the pigmentation is not too visible. But I have tried to swatch on counter and most of the bright and bold colors really good at pigmentation. They last for 4-5 hours with drinking and light snacking.

Bare Lips for Reference

101 Nude Beige - I use this as a base before applyin other colors. It covers my dry patches and also even out my lip color. Too bad I don't have any lip pencil. If you happen to have one nude lipliner in your drawer, please use it for maximum satisfaction. Lol..

300P Golden Pink Coral - this color is almost transparant with a lovely glitter in each stroke. It will be perfect if you have a natural pink lips. It will also be nice to put over a lipstick for a full and shiny finish.

405P Pearly Plum - Eventhough the name is plum, I don't feel that it is a strong plum color. I usually couldn't pull plum shades, but this one is slightly pink and looks good on me.

As promised, here is the ombre lips using 101, 300P and 405P. I like it! What do you think?

The texture and finish looks amazing right?? Honestly I'm not really fans of lipgloss. The sticky and greasy texture just so annoying. This Artist Plexi Gloss is less sticky compared to some other lipglosses and not so greasy too.. I think if you don't mind just a biiiittt of stickiness on your lips, you should try them on, see if you like them. Look at that yummy glossy finish!

Thank you for reading. Have a nice day..

Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow S742, ME828, ME930

I've been wanting this like forever. I heard so many good things about this. And when I went to Surabaya, the first counter I visited was Make Up For Ever. I successfully picked the colors that I want.

Artist Shadow sold separately with the palette. There are three choices of palette: 1, 2, or 3 pans with the same price. Like you don't know, of course I go for the trio. If there is a 5pans palette, definitely I will go for it.

There are five type of finish in the newest formula of Artist Shadow: Satiny (S), Metallic (ME), Iridescent (I), Diamond (D), and Matte (M). All of them promise intense payoff and highly blendable. Each pan contains 2.5g of product.

S-742 : This shade called Tomato and has a Satiny finish. This bright orange bring a pop up on my lids. THIS IS NOT FOR A SOFTHEARTED. Lol!!!

ME-828: This shade called Garnet Black and has Metallic finish. Not black actually, this is more to deep garnet and more to brown than black.

ME-930: This shade called Black Purple and has Metallic finish. Once again it is not black, only deep purple.

Above is one layer swatch on my arm. I promise that it is more intense in real. I just had a bad luck with lighting. It is so soft and near buttery. Actually for me this is the winner. The color is so intense and applied beautifully on my skin.

There is visible shimmer on the pan of Metallic type but it is not the kind of super shimmery or glittery. When applied the shimmer transfered to a soft metallic looks. Believe me: It will not go wrong.

It is blendable and buildable. I have to use a light stroke and slowly build it up to create a good look. Remember that it is so intense so better not doing bold at once.

I'm impressed since there is no fall out and not easily fade or smudge, just like what I expect from MUFE product. Without primer it last about 10 hours in humid weather. How good is that!!!

I definitely will come back for more.. I need more. I want more. Lol! They are so incredible that I would give 10/10.

If you still in a doubt of their gorgeous pigmentation and payoff because of my bad swatch picture above, see below picture is my counter experience. They are all so perfect that I want to bring the tester tray home. Lol..
