Guerlain Meteorites Flocons Enchantes Holiday 2015

Why I need another meteorites in my life? I also don't know how to answer this question. The result is same same but different. But this holiday edition is about the packaging. Do you agree that this is the most beautiful Meteorites packaging so far? At first I want to skip this piece but finally I surrender and just ordered it online.

I'm happy that this time Guerlain make a pretty design with a different material for the case. It is a sturdy plastic in a snowglobe form. I think I will skip if it is made of another tin or worse, cardboard like last time. The color is white with the golden accent and decoration.

The size is bigger as usual and of course fatter because of the shape is like a ball (but flattened on the bottom to prevent it from rolling on the table). It also contains more product than usual.

The closure is a twist type which I like better that the usual tin case. It has mirror inside of the lid. Like previous holiday edition, it is not a bald puff, but a fluffy one with ribbon, only this time is not red, but white and gold.

Not like usual colorful balls, this edition contains beige and golden pearls purposedly to create frosted light, radiance and irridescent. The shape of the pearls is also not only round, we get some stars among them too. (Well, not snowflake like we thought)..

The shimmer is fine but still visible when I did swatch on my hands. When completely blended, the fine shimmers is no longer shimmery but leave gorgeous sheen to my skin. It reduces the appearance of my imperfection like my pores and gently brightening my skin. It last for about 6-7 hours on me.

Again, it's really hard to capture the result on my face. Meteorites is always better in reality than in the picture. You need to try it yourself and decide whether to buy it or not.

Guerlain Meteorites Compact

I think everybody knows Meteorites, Guerlain's signature products.. Everytime Guerlain launch new meteorites , girls gone crazy even they already have previous series already. Yes, we never have enough of them. Same same but different!

While people love Meteorites tins and collect them, they need one for travel companion. Guerlain hear them. They come out with Meteorites Compact which is much more travel friendly but still have the same magic result that we love.

The packaging is quite heavy and luxurious enough with the magnetic closure, talking about the price. I think I will not buy this if the case is made from plastic or thick paper/cardboard. Lol..

I never use compact mirror at home since I always reach for my table mirror, but in this compact I love that Guerlain includes one.

Sorry for the picture. I forget where I save the brand new picture. But you have the idea that this compact is just like the mix of Meteorites balls in a pressed form. No embossing, just colorful.

I don't own the Meteorites Perles in Clair since I only collect the limited editions and feel that I don't need to buy the regular one, so I could not make a comparison between them.

All I know is Meteorites never fail. This compact gives instant glow but not causing my skin looks oily. Not like some Meteorites series which tend to be highlighter due to the visible shimmer, this compact is wonderful as finishing powder. It is not bold enough as a highlighter.

The glow is so soft and smooth and it only visible where the light touch your skin. I need no effort in strobing or something like that. Smells not as strong as Meteorites in tin if you know what I'm talking about.

The powder is not as soft as the Meteorites balls so you are free to dip your brush in that compact without the fear of excess product applied. This does not change your skin color, so basically you can put as much product as you need until you achieve the glowing looks that you want.

It last for 6 hours before fading. So far it did not clog my pores or make them visible. Fluffy powder or blush brush is perfect for application.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette

Hi, we meet again.. This time I will discuss about another old stuff that is still popular until now. Yes it is Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. This palette is so well-known worldwide and I think because of how people love Ambient Lighting series, recently Hourglass launched Ambient Lighting Edit too. (No I did not buy it)

The packaging itself is so tricky. The mirrory surface catches dirts and fingerprints easily. Other than that, I honestly love the design of the palette. It is modern and simple and not too heavy or bulky for something that carries 3 gorgeous powders. I just hope Hourglass would include a pouch to protect this thing.

On the back of the box, you get the description of the products. This palette contains 3 shades of powder. According to Hourglass, here is the definition:

DIM LIGHT : A neutral peach beige powder that blurs imperfections and highlights a radiant complexion with the perfect balance of warm and cool tones.

INCANDESCENT LIGHT : An opalescent pearl powder that brightens the complexion with a celestial glow.

RADIANT LIGHT : A sun-kissed golden beige that enhances the overall complexion with believable, subtle warmth, and also extends a summer glow.

Dim Light and Radiant Light are permanent shades which you can buy the full size, while Radiant Light is exclusive to this palette.

This powder will works in every skin tone since their undertones are all neutral. It creates soft glow and doesn't make my pores more visible. It last for 4-5 hours in humid weather.

You can use each of them alone or mixed, just do what you like. I rarely use them as finishing powder eventhough they are good for that purpose.

My ritual is to mix Dim Light and Incandescent Light (or use only one of them) as my highlighter and put some Radiant Light on my cheek for a warm finish.

Don't worry, it is not shimmery. The glow is subtle.. Do you like this? What do you think?

Thank you for reading.. See you soon..
