LA Splash Lip Couture Liquid Lipstick in Poison Apple, Till Midnight, and Forbidden Review and Swatch

LA Splash is definitely a hype throughout the world.. Liquid lipstick is a trend nowadays especially if it is waterproof. The other good thing is LA Splash come out with affordable price and eyecatching.

These three are old colors since they already launched more choices now. I bought these around 4 months ago but neglected soon after I received more packages. Oopss my bad!

Then I was cleaning my vanity and found them. Lately I slow down my shopping madness and don't have new items to post. So I guess I start digging old collection and make swatches of them. Yes, old collection and maybe for some people quite boring and out of trend. But pardon me, this is for my own good.

Now let's get started..

There is no such luxury such as paper box as packaging. Instead the box made of plastic like I usually find on souvenirs. The product packaging itself is a transparent glass tube with a twist mirrory golden cap.

The applicator attached to the cap is a long stick with sponge at the end. Reminds me of cotton buds. Lol.. It works well and quite precise. Pardon my messy swatch, I'm not too good at swatching.

First thing I don't like, it smells quite strong, smelly like paint, but will fading in few minutes after application. This one reason is enough for me for not repurchasing.

The second thing I don't like is it has bold texture. The feeling of something is sticking to my lips is not so comfortable to me. It is not sticky, just not lightweight.

Third, it says waterproof. Yes it is. But it is not eat proof.. See my picture, after eating (non oily, I ate steamed fish!!), the inner part has gone. It is not something good for me.

Fourth, just like most matte and liquid lipstick it dries our lips. Do not wear this everyday and don't forget to use lipbalm before each application to protect our lips.

Fifth, hard to remove even with my L'oreal and Maybelline Waterproof Make Up Remover. La Splash has come out with special remover, but I don't own one. Last time I tried to remove with Benefit They're Real Remover and tadaaaa it's gone perfectly.

(And anybody could tell me whether it contains any parabens or not??)

But they also have GOOD POINTS.

First, of course the price. It is one-third of ABH (not mentioning about the quality.)

Second, super pigmented. One swipe and done. It has matte finish and easy to apply.
Both till midnight and forbidden are good, but I found poison apple bit difficult to apply.

Third, quick dry. All liquid lipstick should be like that, you don't want to wait 10 minutes for it to dry right?

Fourth, minimum transfer. Other than the inner part, this lipstick is not transfering anywhere.

Hope this review helps..
Buy or not to buy is your choice..

I command you to leave, Acne and Blemish!!!

Lately I have to deal with huge batch of blemish. This is the worst skin condition in my life. I believe it is not only because of one reason. Usually if there is blemish appear, I just put on drying cream and it's gone. But not this time.

 FACTORS AFFECTING MY SKIN CONDITION:

1. WIND: If you are resident of my neighbourhood, you will know that from July to December is time for the strong wind season. Some people do have allergic to this kind of wind. Beside of blemish, I am attacked by cough. It's funny when wind blows through me, I will coughing hard. But when wind stops or whenever I wear jacket and scarf, I am as healthy as a cow.. Lol..

2. DUST & MAKE UP : I was going all day lately, therefore my skin was catching more dust and produce more sweat. I also wear make up for whole day. They clogged my pores.

3. DEHIDRATION : It happened inside and outside. I was having bad eating habit lately. I ate too much oily and spicy food while I did not balanced it with drinking enough water and not have enough sleep. My body was aching and complaining through those blemishes. Moreover, I was too lazy to wear any kind of skincare and made my skin condition even worse.

HOW I COMBAT THAT PROBLEM:

1. Eat Well, Sleep Well, Live Well
I'm on Steam Food Challenge to support the healing process. I decided to steam my foods for lunch and dinner. Sometimes I didn't have time to cook, so I was cheating for 2 days of 10 days. Still, my new eating habit helps much to reduce body heat and fat that is a big factor in combat blemish. I posted 7 first day menu of this challenge and still going on today. Drink plenty of water, get enough sleep and be happy.

2. Deep Cleansing!!

I have Foreo Luna Mini for like two months (?) already but too lazy to use it. Now I use it twice a day. Pair it with good facial wash and some cleansing products. Will talk about this later.

3. Moisturize!!

Never forget to feed your skin with good food. It is crucial..

PRODUCTS:

0. Not in picture: Bioderma Sensibio H2O for removing non waterproof make up. Use Maybelline/L'oreal/Sephora for waterproof make up.
1. Foreo Luna Mini (will do review next month)
2. L'oreal White Perfect Purifying & Brightening Milky Foam
3. Anna Sui Balancing Cleanser
4. Nano Spray
5. Mario Badescu Drying Cream
6. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel (Morning)
7. SK-II Cellumination Deep Surge EX (Night)
8. Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray (Whenever your skin needs it)
9. Clinique Turnaround Instant Facial Masque (Twice a week)

PROGRESS:

Day 1: Start using all those things listed above.

Day 4: Blemishes start to dry

Day 8: Blemishes slowly gone

Today: a lot difference..

This post is just me sharing about my story. Each people has different skin condition and different factors affecting it. Kindly analyze your own skin and adjust the steps and products according to your needs..

Make Up Monthly Favorites: July 2015

Since I didn't buy a lot last month, my favorites are mostly oldies. I rotate items almost everyday, especially my lipstick. Therefore you don't see any lipstick in July fave.

I also didn't use much make up due to my acne problem. But here are my most used last month.

1. Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow :
I don't have many eyebrow products. Only have 3 include this Aqua Brow, and this is the newest. So far I love the result.

2. YSL Gris Vynil Liquid Eyeliner :
Oldies from Fall 2014 collection. Use it together with any black eyeliner.

3. Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner Black Ink : Finished few black eyeliners last month and thinking to finish this next.

4. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette :
Use it more as highlighter than finishing powder. Not as intense as my other highlighters but good to give me just a pinch of glow.

5. Too Faced Beauty Wishes and Sweet Kisses:
Use them almost everyday but I haven't touch the lipgloss yet. I could say that this palette will be on top of my travel list for sure. Snow bunny is my new found love. Thinking of repurchasing after finishing this one.. I just don't know when. Maybe one year two years three years later. Lol..

6. Etude Cushion Mint :
Still in love with that Minnie case. Believe it or not, this is the only cushion I have. Should I add more??

That's my July Faves, what about you?? Have a nice day and thank you for reading..

Kanebo Impress IC Brightening Sun Protector SPF50+ PA+++

As teenager I was too lazy to use sunblock, moisturizer, serum etc, and just focusing on make up. But as I'm growing older , I understand more about the importance of skincare and how to choose items that suitable with my skin condition.

Sunblock/sunscreen is one of them. Since I am not a skincare junkie, I tend to be loyal to one item for a long time. But now I am in need to search for better skincare including sunblock that does not ruin my daily make up.

Again, since no Kanebo counters in my town, I purchased it online without reading any review. It is quite pricey. I believe it is around IDR 380.000 in counters and I bought it at near IDR 500.000 online.

The packaging is a white paper box. They write the details about the product on it and I found it quite informative including the function, ingredients, warning, how to apply and even how to remove.

The bottle is also in white color with a silver mirrory cap. Shake before use, twist the cap and pour the product to use. Yes pour, because it is not a pump kind of bottle.

The product is in white liquid form. It feels lightweight and just like they said, brightening but does not leave any white cast. It is not turned oily like most of sunscreen I've tried. And it is okay for my sensitive skin. I usually feel burning sensation which is not comfortable with some other sunblock I've tried. Not feeling any burning sensation at all with this.

The most important thing, it does not ruin my make up and does not cause my skin dry or break. I feel comfortable all day.

I am quite impressed with its performance more than my previous sunblocks and will continue using it until I found something better.

Have a good day and thank you for reading..

100 Empties Project (Finale)

I'm sorry for being MIA. Actually I have finished this challenge more than a month ago but as usual I didn't have time to update. Worst blogger ever 😵

91. Dove Damage Solution Shampoo
I tried to find cheaper alternative to my daily shampoo since my hair is now doing good. I found Dove is okay but I still need to use conditioner and hair mask after that.

92. Pantene Fullness & Life Shampoo
Another cheaper shampoo. Too dry for my damaged hair. Lucky I bought the travel size.

93. Clinique Clarifying Lotion
Last bottle on stock! And I have finished countless bottle of this. Will surely repurchase after finishing my SK-II and Anna Sui

94. TBS Early Harvest Raspberry Shower Gel
Very sweet smell just like candy. Enjoying my shower time.

95. BBW Sweet Pea Travel Shower
Favorite scent of BBW and this is the last BBW shower gel on stock.

96. Bioderma Sebium Gel Moussant
High raved Bioderma Product but not showing any miracle to me. It is just okay. Sometimes feeling not clean using this because of the gelly texture and the little amount of foam it produces

97. BBW Sweet Pea Triple Silk Shimmer Lotion
Bought this a week before my wedding day and has to be gone.

98. Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Corrector
A little goes a long way. Working fine on me.

99. Stila All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner
The best waterproof liquid eyeliner I have ever tried

100. NYX Slide On Black Sparkle
Finally finished! Part of my project pan and it is an old stuff and need to be gone

Bonus:
101. (Another) L'oreal Lip and Eye Waterproof Make Up Remover
Loving this product and definitely will repurchase. It is really affordable.

I have lots of sample done this time but I want to close this project with more full size products to make it better. I only include Sweet Pea because it is my favorite and Clinique Dark Spot because it only finished in months.

Will update about my project pan soon! See ya! Thank you for reading..

Dior Nude Air Serum Foundation Review and Swatch

Yaayyy, I got this latest Dior foundie sample from last purchase.. When launched, I decided not to buy after looking at my foundation stash but I'm more than happy to finally receive this sample. Eventhough I am a make up lover, I'm trying to control myself. I decided not to add another bottle to my current collection.

What makes me happier is the packaging that is a miniature of the regular size. Of course not exactly the same, but almost. It reminds me of Giorgio Armani Maestro Foundation, but I don't have that Armani so I'm not in the place to comment.

I try to compare with the previous Dior foundie, Dior Star, which is one of my favourite foundie so far and also the Armani Maestro dupe, L'oreal Magic Nude.

For the texture and consistency, Dior Star is thicker than Dior Nude Air Serum. It should be, Dior Nude Air is a serum foundation so it should not be as thick as regular foundation.

Dior Nude Air also less coverage than Dior Star. The good thing, it is so light like your second skin. But you better fast when apply since it easy to dry once you put on your skin. It has satin finish and not drying.

L'oreal Magic Nude is runnier and less coverage than Dior Nude Air. L'oreal is also the most difficult to blend from all three. But I can't complain since L'oreal is drugstore product and the price is far below Dior. It is not correct to 100% compare each other.

Dior Nude Air performs well so far. I thought it would stay for only 2 or 3 hours. But I was wrong. It stays 5 to 6 hours on me without primer, then begin fading.

You can see the swatch of difference between using Dior Nude and without Dior Nude. It improves my skin texture a lot and still looks natural at the same time.

Hope this review helps. Thank you for reading..
